Mega Man X v1.2.13

I mentioned it before in my review already but, would be cool to have Nightmare Zero as a 2nd alt since we got Black Zero already. I'd share a screenshot of the recolor I did already if I knew how to. Still new here. ^^;

Aside from that, I can't think of anything I'd want that isn't either already in the mod or getting added in the future. (Shadow armor X and Dynamo Hype!)
 
I'll see if it can be fixed but the mod is on hold for a few months.
Its also not working for the Brutal Bosses mod. Regular enemies take damage from attacks just fine, but bosses don't react at all.

What controls whether or not the bosses take damage from attacks? Maybe I could look at it myself.

Zero Nightmare could be added but I don't want it to be just a skin.

It's possible to solve this by your own granted you know how the lua API works and how are the objects defined in the game. Essentially all objects have a behavior associated to them, and one easy way to fetch an object is to use a lua function call to return an object by a given behavior. For example, Bowser's behavior identifier would be id_bhvBowser. And to fetch the bowser object, you would use a predefined lua function call like this:
LUA:
local bowserObj = obj_get_nearest_object_with_behavior_id(marioObj, id_bhvBowser)

Some of the mods override the vanilla behavior identifiers, which makes that line of code not work as intended anymore, thus causing the weapons not to have interactions with the object.
I could fix this in another small patch but I really didn't want to release any more 1.2.x versions. But maybe I will do that.

I mean You already showed us Vile MK3, Axl, Layer, Third Armor X, Shadow Armor X and Dynamo previews.
Look don't take it badly but it's madness to put everyone in The first version of 1.3. Forgive me if i'm Annoying but it worries me that You put so much in only one version.

what's holding 1.3 is mostly the rewrite of core game mechanics, the adjusting of all existing models, complete zero rework, and the fact that it will use coopdx 1.4 features which isn't out yet. All in all this could make 1.3 have a late 2026 release window.

But like I said, I could release v1.2.11 soon with a few new additions but also fixes to the issues I have seen the most complaints about (Fire damage basically instantly killing you and incompatibility with Brutal Bosses and Gore/Hardmode)

ganewatch updated Mega Man X with a new update entry:

Mega Man X - v1.2.11

  • Added Shadow Armor X and Vile MK-II.
  • All characters now have a standardized dash punch, which is as important as the ground pound. Vile can dash punch by dashing and using the bomb input.
  • Vile's dash no longer consumes meter.
  • Zero has a new move, Rekkoha, which can be executed by pressing the punch button while stationary. Shippuga is now a combo move that can be used by doing a normal ground attack and then pressing the punch input.
  • Fixed the infamous glitch that makes...

The mod update is great. I can't find any issues with it so far. I do have a couple questions though.

Will Second Armor X be getting Giga Crush?
Do you have any plans to include an attack for Vile MK-II's missiles?

Second Armor will have the g crush yes. Also since Vile MK-II's missiles were never actually used in all his apparitions (besides his intro animation in X DiVE where the missiles are just the flame round), I thought I would not use them either.

He does use his missiles in X3. For some reason though they didn't make him fire missiles, and made it more like some kind of "machine gun."


Watch the animation for the "Machine Gun" attack; he's definitely firing from his missile shoulder. They were just strange about it for some reason and made him shoot dice at us... or so I like to make fun of it.

Still though if that's your choice, I'll respect it. o7

are their blasters not supposed to hurt basic enemies? cause i can only get it to damage bosses, regular enemies just ignore all attacks especially from Zero.

Are you running anything that might be interfering with the mod? I messed around with the update for this mod recently, and it functioned just fine. Also are you using the latest version of Coop DX? That could also be the problem.

It should work. Might be a mod compatibility thing or you have outdated versions or something, like what CrimsonMel said
 
I'm currently running the most recent version of Coop DX with the mod in my mods folder, yet they don't show up in the character select menu. Any idea why?

Edit: Nevermind, forgot to check it on in the mods section. :P

I don't think he has, but my vote goes to the Miracle Armor for Alia.

Its just a skin for Falcon Armor X, but Alia looks awesome!

No, he hasn't. I wouldn't hold my breath either, but that's just my take. I'm more than happy that Layer and Axl are being added. I'm also not going to make requests, 'cuz I wasn't asked, and I have no intention of requesting unless asked. I'm already looking forward to the finished state of this mod in itself.
