This update allows Extra Chars to be played in EmilyEmmi's So Retro v2.0!

which sonic, i only see the rebooted one being worth choosing over (but i'd say they are equal in quality)... well anyway you can modify the mod and remove the sonic in it, its not that hardIs there anyway I can remove characters from the roster like Sonic? I want to tone down my roster and rather use another Sonic(no offense)

you should try to find the file that makes him selectable and go from that, but cant you just run both mods at once anyway, there arent any issues with having multiple sonics as far as i know~~Thanks for the reply! It's true they have no compatible issues it's just I'm OCD and it just unfortunately triggers me. After this I may even look into how to sort them in the select screen next. Unfortunately, it's not easy being me.

I second thisI really enjoy how Sonic plays in this mod. He feels really close to how he's controlled in Sonic Adventure DX, but I feel as if there's two things that can be done to his moveset to both bring him closer to that feeling and help him function a little better in Mario's levels.
For starters, I like that he has the homing attack, but it should send you straight up after hitting an enemy as opposed to carrying your momentum. This would bring it closer to how it functions in the Adventure games, and make it more useable for clearing spaces of enemies.
Secondly, his spindash is very situational. It's fun for making longer jumps, but in a 3D space, having to stop entirely and mash the action button to charge it kills the flow a little, and the fact that you can't uncurl is a little odd. Keep the need to mash the action button, but change it to where even if you're moving/rolling, you can hit the action button to start a spindash charge and slide to a halt while charging. Add the ability to uncurl with the crouch button, and Sonic should flow a lot better through levels, possibly leading to some fun new speedruns of the game.
Sonic's animations and gameplay make me feel like I'm running through a Sonic Adventure 0.5 or a lost version of Sonic X-treme. He's really fun to play as! I just hope that these suggestions can make it into the mod itself for the sake of even more fun.
he is meant to recreate sonic adventure 1's movement, and i think slowing down midair actually helps and is accurate to sa1 because this is a mario game. i do wish the homing attack didnt carry your momentum, like in sonic adventure.I have a couple feedback ideas for sonic if you dont mind
Him having better midair control like the rebooted mod would be ideal
I prefer the rebooted mod in gameplay due to that but I prefer the health system and model here and the voice
him having better mid air control and increased max speed
The jumping is what rubs me the wrong way how he loses all his momentum when jumping.
I hope you can do that. I love the very skill based speed nature of the rebooted moe but I prefer the animations and model and health system here
You dont have to do this of course its your mod but Sonic would definitely be better that way

I think he should also have a bit more mid air control like rebooted. Rebooted feels great but theres a few things that hold it back for me. He stops too easily, he can spam spindash, and (this ones a nitpick) i prefer his adventure design more
