NSMB Wii Twirl - The mid-air twirl, brought to Super Mario 64

Mario twirls in the air, just like in NSMBWii, but with a few modifications for adjusting to the 3D plane. Press A to twirl for a moment, and you can even switch around your direction with the joystick mid-twirl!

The twirl is a move that has been, in Super Mario 64's spirit, given plenty of technical versatility. Runners and casuals alike, enjoy the ability to combo long jumps into jump combos with a twirl that also carries your forward momentum over.

KNOWN BUGS

When the player is riding a koopa shell, falls off a ledge, and presses A in midair, the twirl sends them propelling like a rocket across the stratosphere

When the player is holding something and twirls, Mario holds it weirdly in his left hand before letting it go after the twirl
