Try going to the modes folder and deleting one of the character selects.

I don't plan to edit or add anything, but when I go to the wiki, the only page I can view is the page about my profile. I think this is intended but I would like wiki status to view all of the wiki.

I don't think you'll be able to use both joy-cons as your PC will register them as two separate controllers. The joy-cons are specifically designed for the Switch and you will only be able to use both of them properly on a Switch.
