I give my thanks for giving the main 5 the character moveset mod by default. It really does make every character feel unique, and now only Mario gets to do the high triple jump, which is a godsend.

That aside, I still would've given this a 5 regardless because this is my favorite mod to use. I always make sure to enable it when booting up the game.
No way... they added the Vanilla Character Moveset from Steven3004?! This is absolute cinema!
No more characters having Mario's moveset :D

The Gang is all here! ^^
Amazing, I almost always have extra characters enabled
I LOVE THIS THANK YOUUUUU
This is definitely one of the best mods that everyone should try.
This is way better than the old one, 10 out of 10.
Agreed about what PaperCutz said regarding Sonic; I'd personally love to see the spin dash work more akin to the Sonic Character: Rebooted spin dash where it's more closely based on the Adventure 1 spin dash, as well as the bounce being made to more closely work like it does in Adventure 2, another thing that mod does very cleanly :)
I havent played with this mod beyond a few lobbies so I can stand to gain more experience (and I will give myself plenty!) but as it stands this is a pretty rock solid update to a beloved mod. The old characters got some refreshments in the form of character select menu animations, a few new moves for a few and pre-made palettes, very well done.

The new additions I'm mostly positive on, Wapeach feels like the closest equivalent to a joke character, and her axe while unwieldy and bound to leave her prone after use is fun to pull off the high speed action with.
Donkey Kong is a very strongly designed character, he may have low jumps but his climb helps make up for it (tho I think it can stand to have at least a half second more use time), beyond that his roll is a great mobility tool, perfect for covering distance and flows well with SM64's base kit (bonus points for letting him keep rolling if he hits an enemy!)

Sonic is a very special case so I'll give him his own block of text. For the most part Sonic is pretty damn close to what you would expect from the character. Moves fast, bit slippery, high commitment to his actions but mastery rewards you heavily. I think you lot got down the base locomotion real nice, moving on the ground feels good, and when you can get some extra speed Sonic retains it surprisingly well, alongside the way his jumps accurately kick him off the ground even accounting for the angle can make for real interesting moments and potential on the fly thinking for skilled players. However a move I find lacking is the roll, despite it being a great attack option for keeping Sonic on the move, it has relatively weak use cases for sloped areas, in most cases if Sonic players want to get the most out of that type of terrain it is much better to slide on your butt and then jump off the slope near the bottom to let Sonic keep the speed while running. This I feel is a bit backwards from how the roll functions in the 3d Sonic games that feature it, Sonic players should be encouraged to roll down hills to get their speed (and have the roll maintain speed more easily), if you ask me if you can manage to make it work somewhat like the roll in the Odyssey Mario Moveset mod (ofc minus the ability to continuously boost yourself forward) I think that would go a long way to giving Sonic the proper feel. I also believe his bounce attack should be something you can use multiple times, at the very least a 3 bounce combo would be fine, even if it doesnt provide an extra boost in height like in Sonic Adventure 2.

I would def have to play more of Sonic to give stronger opinions, but if you honed in on a couple of things I think he would be damn near perfect. To bring it all back together tho, this is a fantastic mod and if you want to spice up a lobby of yours this is a sure-fire way to give everyone a little something they may enjoy as a shake up to the usual form of play.
