Great mod but i would love some power pole animations and the palette is broken on the model without the power pole but everything else is great
An overall great romhack with challenging gameplay that will actually leave you stumped in some cases. Despite being short, it has a good number of difficult stars that'll provide a good challenge for casual players. The music is very serene and nice, taking a beloved track from Sunshine and playing that throughout the level. My only gripe with the music is that it doesn't loop correctly, looping once within the track and then looping again in the middle of the loop. You'll know once you play through the romhack.

I give this a 4.4/5. A really great romhack if you're looking for a challenging casual level.

It's mentioned in-game that this is a collection of old levels from the creator. But even then, it's still somewhat enjoyable, albeit kinda messy in its level design. The music choice is very good, it uses a number of popular songs used in romhacks, so it made the experience a little better cuz of it. Some levels in this romhack come from another romhack named "Despair Mario's Gambit", taking levels from that romhack and implementing it here, which makes things more familiar and much less creative. Then again it mentions that it's not meant to be ground-breaking or awe-inspiring, so maybe I'm expecting too much. Difficulty is very simple, I think the only level that'll give you some trouble is the WC level, and that's it.

I give it a 3.0/5. Despite giving it a low score, I think it's still an enjoyable experience, just nothing to really write home about.

The only thing that saves this romhack is its "okay" level design. it has interesting ideas. I like the fog in C3 and the theming and level design in C1 and C2 to some extent, althuogh those levels need some fleshing out to do, since they feel like they're meant to be a lot bigger than they are.the difficulty is all over the place, and uses fake walls to hide stars. It's not very intuitive at all, and even C1 is hidden in a tiny hole within a flower patch. I had to use bubbles to look underneath the map to even see where it was.

I give this 2.3/5. I believe this romhack just isn't work your time, and what good it does have is very lacking.

I played this romhack 2 years ago when my skill level was rock bottom. It was only 7 stars but it was really hard for the time. 2 years later, and I can basically finish this with no effort whatsoever. If you know what to do, it's really fun and satisfying to pull it all off. Gameplay is mostly great, although there are a few awkward stars you have to do, such as "Dumb Ol' Exasperating Slopes" and "Devouring Ovals, Even Salary". The quicksand texture is also really inconsistent. You'd think that brown always meant quicksand but sometimes it doesn't, which makes "Divers of Epic Speed" a really confusing star at first. The music is very minimal and the atmosphere is just meh in all honesty.

If you want to try your hand at harder romhacks, I'd say go for this one as it's short and sweet, with an added bit of interesting tech.

I give it a 3.6/5. Good, satisfying gameplay brought down by awkward terrain, lackluster theming and a very quiet sound track.

This is such a creative romhack. Music is pretty much what you'd expect from a Mario Party-esque romhack, although the usage of Galaxy music provides a lot of nostalgia for me. Each level was clearly made for singleplayer only, so the coop experience doesn't hold up sadly enough. But if there were a coop-related purple coin star, I would play that in a heartbeat. Difficulty is somewhat easy, although the vanish cap course is a little more difficult than it should be. The timers used for each purple coin star is also very lenient, so you can take your time with it.

Honestly it's the only short romhack I desperately want more content for. If there is a completed version out there, then someone please for the love of god port it to coop.

I give it a 4.8/5. I WANT MORE

Muy buena tiene los sonidos y el modelo es tierno
Honestly, Shining Stars is a pretty alright hack. I think at its time, it's pretty good, but for me, it doesn't hold up as much. The choice of music has its highs and lows, with some tracks being translated pretty well to the SM64 soundfont, then other tracks are painful to listen to. I like the atmosphere and level theming for most levels, but most levels have issues with either being huge and empty or small and crammed. I personally don't like having to traverse through huge terrain, I don't believe SM64's base movement makes that fun in comparison to other 3D Mario games. The difficulty is pretty chill, a nice difficulty to either take your time with and soak everything in or speed through each level if you're like that (me).

I don't like how simplistic the rating system is, so I'll give my own accurate rating for romhacks from here on out.

I give it a 3.8/5. Great for its time, doesn't really hold up in the present.

really good and can't wait for the next character
Definitely a good mod, but very buggy, like sometimes when i stop dashing i just get stuck in place until I jump, and the controls just kinda feel, inconsistent. maybe a map showing what buttons do what would help
esta genial, me encanto que esten todos mod 10/10
It's good. I'm disappointed that Sushie still loses HP when underwater. She's a fish, she's not supposed to drown. SM64 Coop DX has special ability for some characters so Sushie should have the ability to swim freely and not slowly lose HP underwater.

That's a moveset change and this is a simple skin pack (with bowser compatibility because it's easy to implement). The game does not have special abilities for some characters, modders have to program that. I know that because i have programmed Peach and Daisy.
