I'm assuming they removed them because a lot of them were unrelated to Super Mario 64. I'm assuming the removed the generic ones such as Clover because palettes like those are generic and you might as well just make it yourself. The palettes like Kirby had nothing to do with Super Mario 64 so that's probably why the removed those ones too.
