Script error in Super Mario 64 Deluxe with mods

I use OpenGL, and I want to use the "Sonic Character: Rebooted v1.2.4.1" mod; however, whenever I try to use it, a script error occurs. I am able to use the mod—abilities and all—but the sound effects are those of Mario. I’ve tried removing all other mods and extracting the files in various ways, but nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to fix this?
