Blocky submitted a new mod:

Prophunt/Hide and Seek Rebirth - Adds Prophunt in mario 64, as well as rewritting hide and seek

This aims to be the sucessor of Hide and Seek,
it comes with prophunt and other options!
Prophunt is enabled by default.
This mod is also compatible with romhacks
do /hns to change the settings and/or your binds
Credits goes to biobak for making the custom levels, swagskeleton95 for the freddy model and Squishy for making the custom menu

A option to be able to vote for levels, similar to the Kart Battle Modes mod would be amazing, the forced levels and forced floor options never seem to work for me, and it just loops the same level until I manually change the level.

Salut Blocky!

I was wondering if you could create a version of this that works with a dedicated server setup. Just to clarify, SM64coopdx doesn’t officially support dedicated servers, but I’ve set one up myself. The challenge is that my dedicated server treats the server/host (player0) as a player, so I can’t control commands like /start directly. Until real dedicated server support is added or someone creates a tool to address this, SM64coopdx only treats the terminal as an stdout, which limits my ability to interact with the game/commands.

I have another Hide and Seek mod that’s been modified to work with dedicated servers—it starts the game automatically and doesn’t treat player0 (the host) as an actual player in the game. Would it be possible for you to adapt HnSRebirth to work in a similar way? Specifically, I’d like it to auto-start the game and exclude the host (player0) from being treated as a player.

Blocky updated Prophunt/Hide and Seek Rebirth with a new update entry:

PROPHUNT UPDATE WOOOO

  • fixed invisible props (for the most part)
  • added two new maps (by biobak)
  • added voting system
  • fixed random level softlock
  • fixed random floor softlock
  • fixed weird globalsynctable desync warping some player to the wrong level (might still be present though?, its internet based)
  • added the slowbomb hunters can throw
  • added an option to remove the red flashing
  • added a start button to the menu
  • added a player list
  • added current role at the top of the screen...

Level blacklist option doesn't appear to work, unless I'm misunderstanding how it functions.

Also, the server host appears to spawn immediately? Which kinda causes problems if you're trying to play it with friends.
