Odyssey Mario's Moveset: Rebirth v1.4

So since I can't edit my review I'll say it here. I figured out you CAN actually use the QoL features that come with this mod with other moveset mods. You just have to edit the files to remove the incompatibility tag, then turn off all of the moveset/movement related settings in the mod's menu and it works fine from my experience. The stars work fine, ect.
 
IDK if this is because of a recent sm64coopdx update or a conflict with another mod (prob an update since the mod worked fine before updating the game and I don't think I enabled any mods after updating) but custom characters now just throw a copy of Mario's hat instead of their own
 
Okay so I'm here to leave a potential bug report assuming this mod is even maintained anymore. (It's been like a whole year since the last update after all.)
I figured out for example in Womp's Fortress if you do not have the Odyssey moveset turned on when you defeat King Womp the tower will not appear after his defeat basically forcing you to turn on the moveset and beat him every time just to access the tower. Might be the same case for other stages with things like that but I haven't tested extensively.

(In layman's terms: If you're set to "Classic" moveset it seems to break things.)

hey there! I'm using omm rebrith 1.4 but it simply does not work. I've tried everything. update coopdx, say /omm in chat, etc could someone help me? thanks!
 
Apparently when using Character Select with this mod and using a custom character, dying will use the Mario death voiceline by default somehow.
Shouldn't it just use the normal death sound and falling sound of the used character?
