It's looking like @Addictedude has completely forgotten about finishing off the modelling portion of the Axol mod, so I may need to acquire the help of a second person to finish it up. The actual player model is done, with all that remains to be just a few tweaks to replace the base Luigi hat with the headband that Axol was given in the cases where it's not actually on his head (when it gets taken by Klepto/Ukiki, when it's blown off by the snowman in Snowman's Land... that kind of thing). So if anybody is willing to do the last little bit of tweaking (assuming I don't hear back from Addictedude anytime soon), please reach out to me through messaging.
