i recently got this about... 2-3 days ago on my mac book M1 and i noticed that everytime i try to join a server be it empty or just a little bit of people, it just stays on the loading/joining screen forever and doesnt make any progress. IDK what else to do as i redownloaded the newer update, checked to ensure firewall accepted it (which it did), and have looked around the web with no real answer on what to do

Hi,

Just wanted to quickly say that I have the exact same problem. My game also keeps getting stuck on the loading screen on my M1 Mac whenever I try to join a server. Very frustrating! Hopefully, there's a fix soon.

I heard the mac version of the game is kinda not working well right now so freeze joins exist
I know emerald does mac updates so prolly fix soon
(sent this message in another forum for people to know)

I had this issue with the previous version and now the latest version (v1.3). Not sure what's going on as it was stated in the update log that this was fixed.
Um… yea that’s not good :/. Currently can’t take a look at it, but I will be sure to figure out why this is happening. The stuff I see appears to look good, so I’ll be sure to talk to one of the coopnet maintainers about this, so we can do more testing and see what we missed. Hoping something was just mistyped and it’s a simple fix! Deeply sorry about this, this is probably really frustrating D:

So, I saw update 1.3.1 is out and the notes claimed a fix for the Mac lobby issue. Got my hopes up and installed it right away! Sadly, no change on my end, still stuck trying to join... which is quite frustrating, to be honest.
Has anyone else on an M1 had any luck with 1.3.1, or are you seeing the same problem persist? Guess I celebrated too early.

Oh I think I got it. It was a fix for another problem for Mac I guess. My bad.

A lot of different issues are occurring with the build, so a lot of developers are working on fixing different issues. It's also a work day, so a lot of developers aren't available. I have left word to one of the coopnet devs, so once I get in contact with him we can try to get the issue fixed swiftly. I'm hoping it's just a simple fix. I doubt other people on a Mac are going to be able to connect properly, due to macOS quirks. I am sorry that this wasn't solved by now, however I will try to resolve it quickly, as I think I know what the issue is... Thank you for your patience!

Edit: The fix in the release logs was related to this issue, however, wouldn't you know, the issue wasn't fixed : DDDD.

The issue has been identified, and has been resolved, however, unfortunately (again), it will be available next update. I believe a minor update is being issued, so hopefully it doesn't take too long.
