Like I wanna add some characters with their own special movesets, models, and voices but I have no idea what to do. Also do I have to know how to use Blender? I have some ideas but have no idea what to do so I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

There are various ways to do it, but I'd recommend reading the lua scripts of existing mods first.
Some mods allow different movesets for the base characters in the unmodded game (mario, luigi, waluigi, wario toad and yoshi), while others use character select to load a custom model/voices/caps.
To make the actual model, you'll need a special version of fast64, a blender plugin that allows to export the model to the needed format.
