Does installing a new version of the base game require reinstalling any emulators?

I should point out that I haven't played the game all that much at this point. Right now, I have version 1.4. While I was getting @Addictedude to work on a character model I commissioned, 1.4.1 was released. I just want to make sure I'm approaching this the right way and don't break anything.

installing the new version of coopdx should be fine even when using a emulator
though, coopdx doesnt emulate at all, I assume you have an emulator running the coopdx folder it seems

This is not a romhack, this is a native PC Port. It does not use emulators.
