character select missing file??? but the file is there

had to make an account to post this
when either me or my friend joins a game we get the error "character select error missing file: actor/armature_geo.bin"
when going to check the folder said file IS THERE
we have no clue what to do
only the person joining gets this error and the host gets to select characters normally
please help
we have tried updating the mod, disabling mods and some other stuff
i would show pics but dont know how to insert them here

I'm having this issue too, would appreciate any help Only had this issue after updating coopdx to 1.4

alright, ima assume you replace the file to its destination so what ill do is, delete character select completely and redownload it and put it in mods folder either in the game mods folder or in appdata mods folder which is located in C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\sm64coopdx
