_geo.bin isn't being generated and I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong

Hi there, I'm currently trying to create a custom character and no matter what I do I'm just stuck at this part.
I've been following various guides and using the recommended Blender settings to export via Combined Exporter.

I've gotten these files out which I am told I need.
But every guide says that you need to place them in the "mods\mod name\actors" folder and when launching the game it'll automatically combine them into a _geo.bin file, But for whatever reason the game is doing that.
I've tried making it a new mod, I've tried setting it up as a dynos mod, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I've tried running it as admin. I've tried deleting and rearranging the files. I've tried ritual sacrifice and arson,. Absolutely nothing works. It just stays as those files

I'm at my wit's end trying to get this to work. Does anybody know what I should be doing?

not sure it was a while ago and I don’t model but I put it as like the default dynos and it makes a bin
I think I can find the vid how I did it

Tried following this but unfortunately nothing seems to be happening.
It DOES generate a .col file but that's not exactly what I'm after nor does any guide seem to mention it.

I really hope I haven't broken anything.

ah, if you want you can follow this whole guide I gave, worked for me doing the broken blender cube like I said before
I was surprised myself that it generated .bin but I’m not that kind of person to know all this stuff so that’s all I can help at the moment

Unfortunately the guide uses an older version of the Blender plugin and that version of the exporter no longer exists.

I tried making a test pack using the Mario character template with no changes and still cannot get the _geo.bin file to generate.
I'm at a total loss.

I FOUND IT OUT.
To anyone who stumbles across this post months from now. Make sure "Save Textures As PNGs" is disabled in Fast64's global settings before exporting anything.

Thank you so much for figuring this out! I've been having the exact problem and version hopping for weeks assuming some update made everything incompatible with each other. I can't believe it was just because of something so simple
