8bitdo N64 controller issues

Yo, so like the title says, running the 8bitdo n64 modkit and for some reason the joystick is seemingly bound to rotate the camera which makes navigating a chore at times. I've tested it in parallel and have had no issues, so I'm thinking it's probably some weird deeper level stuff conflicting with Co-op. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I've tried fiddling with the bindings with no luck, but I'll poke more to see if something it'll click, cheers y'all

Also making it know that I've tested with Steam on and off with no change, I know that can be guilty of weird issues

So after testing a bit more and testing with a regular xbox controller, what I think is happening is that since the n64 controller only has the one joystick, both of them are getting mapped to it, wish I had anymore info to help others who might stumble on this issue but we're in this boat together ;w;

this is a pretty odd thing... to be honest it would be cool if you could map joystick configuration to different things, and also turn off specific joysticks, since it seems it only allows the same thing over and over. if you could someone recode how the modkit works to make it that theres a nil for the right analog then maybe itll work? this prob wont be able to be fixed sadly, but if possible try a app that could filter the controls given to the game
