It uses the "X" input for the cap throw, not the "L" input.
Press the corresponding bind for the "X" input in the Extra Binds setting.
On-Topic: I'd love to see capturing be a feature in future updates, but I doubt it'd happen anytime soon - especially when you consider the amount of actors...
While I do agree with improving upon the ending cutscene in SM64, could we have it as a toggle-able option, much like with the "Skip Intro Cutscene" currently in the server settings?
