Gamebun submitted a new mod:

[CS] Cream the Rabbit - Little bunny wants to make new friends

Cream's birthday is all over but she still wants to have fun! Escaped from her own mod, she explores the vast worlds of CoopDX! I know there's been a few ports by others of this model (and I appreciate it) though I figure I get an official version from me, with some extra bits.

Comes with a customizable palette, new animations replacing the idle, sleep and running anims, custom sounds, health hud, life and star icon and new star model. Wanted to go a bit more, but I'm still figuring out...

I think you should make a version with the star ring as an option, that way no one is left out. I know this is possible due to Hangout/Arena Mods, which allow you to pick the Hangout or Arena Version of the map
I would if I any idea how to do it without accidently breaking something. I suppose I can just leave an extra folder with the file inside and the player can just move it to the Actors folder if they want in the meantime.

I just found out there is a cream skinswapper with a lot of variants on the discord called cream skinswapper. Its just replacing base characters so no animarion nor voice. If you wanted to use them to add to you mod. Creator for that is vector lua. (Not me)

Honestly i just want to use these skins with voice and animations. Cuz i read in disscussions that you were planning to add variations from sc64 romhack so using these from mod mentioned to make it easier for you to make this happen.

Flying, Outfits, the works!

  • Flying has been added from Super Cream 64! Should work basically the same as it did there. Controls will be listed in the main mod description.
  • Mod has been updated to support most of her outfits from Super Cream 64. The ones omitted were created specifically for friends, mutuals and streamers and don't wanna include them unless permitted. Full list will be posted in the description.
  • In addition, the outfits are also separated into packs to not clog up player's CS screens...

Various bugfixes, toggles, etc

Huge thank you once again to AloXado320 for the various code fixes and code additions.
  • Fixed where you would die if you ever flew over quicksand
  • Fixed an issue where grabbing a ledge when flying would make Cream appear flying but in the ledge grab state
  • Fixed where flying after jumping out of water would cause camera issues when using the default cam (if it's still a little awkward, please let me know)
  • Fixed the models in Packs 2 through 4 in regards to the capless head...

The new star model toggle doesn't seem to change the star model at all. I can swap them by changing the filename to star_geo.bin still, though. The file is fine, it shows up in that case, but by default, no matter the new option setting, no matter the load order or, even if Cream is the only CS mod loaded, the star model is always the standard power star, but not the star ring anymore. (Doesn't seem to change the model for blue stars that had already been collected, but that was already happening.)

Ahh I should clarify that: the custom star option in the CS script only seems to change the star when it's collected, which is what the toggle is actually changing. I don't know if the latest version of CS can also change the overworld star to a custom star in the script aside from adding a star_geo.bin in the actors folder sadly, which is why I removed that file initially but yeah you can just readd it by making a new copy of cream_star_geo.bin and changing it to star_geo.bin.

If even the star model is still the normal power star when collecting it then yeah that's a weird bug and I'll have to see what's up. Hope this helps!

Ah, I see now! I didn't realize it was just for the collect animation! That helps a lot, everything's fine, actually! Thanks!
