Playable Yae is what sm64 has needed since 1996. If you're having a problem where the game hard crashes when Yae collects the metal cap try switching to the OpenGL version of sm64coopdx, I encountered this problem on the DirectX version for windows only but it works fine on OpenGL. I love this Ganbare Goemon so much that it's my favorite skin in the entire project.
