[Hangout] Ace Attorney Courtroom 4.3

(so im really uhh embarrassed to have to show up in the recently updated mods list once again IM SORRY i feel like the "get that thing off the road bruh" image)

anyways i kidna lied when i said there wouldnt be an update for a while so here's the new songs

"guilty love" - klavier gavin's theme (CREDITS TO "Melto Rheo" on vgmusic.com for the midi)
"objection (2007)" - objection theme from apollo justice
"overtaken" - pursuit theme from apolo justice (CREDITS TO "Big Boy" on vgmusic.com for the midi)


also fixed some weird UV things and MORE COLLISION BUGS!!!! LETS GOOO!!!

also fixed the "guilty" and "not guilty" sound effects which idk if anyone noticed were gone so uhh yea my bad oopsies >_<

idk what else i did sorry if i screwed up again somewhere i hope not
  • FIX shout sfx (hold it! take that! eureka!) that weren't working because i was assigning a function in certain table keys before this function was even defined oopsies my bad AGAIN.
  • add "trial (2007)" and "new prelude" (courtroom lobby music) (i wanted to add objection and pursuit but i didnt find midis for them :()
  • add WARIO! LETS GO WARIO!!! (AS A SPECIAL THANKS TO DOMINATOR FOR THE IDEA OF THIS MOD)

if there are no more major bugs i think this will be the last update in a while as i want to move on to different mod! i hope you guys can have fun with this map then and thanks to everyone who supported me along the way!!
guys i accidentally replaced some vanilla sequences in the previous version when i meant to allocate new ones instead so uhhh oopsies my bad, 4.1 (this update) fixes this i think

(for example the dahlia theme was playing in secret slide and koopa the quick race when that was not intended)
- added some of my personal favorite tracks from trials and tribulations! added them as sequenced music so they wouldnt affect mod file size much, trigger the songs with

"order in the court (2004)" = trial theme T&T
"objection (2004)" = objection theme T&T
"testimony (2004)" = cross examination allegro T&T
"caught" = pursuit T&T
"distant traces of beauty" = dahlia hawthorne theme
"the fragrance of dark coffee" = godot theme

- changed more weird collisions hopefully for the better

- added a dialogue box for when an attorney, judge or witness talks, might be a bit too small on some screens lmk if i should make it bigger

The map no longer requires MAPi to function, you can use /courtroom to get there

However it is still compatible because MAPi menu is super cool!

New chat triggers

Guilty:
triggers the guilty sound effect
Not Guilty: triggers the guilty sound effect but TWICE!!! (like not guilty instead of just guilty)

might try to add confetti at a later version? maybe

- you can now groundpound the desks to trigger the sfx unlike before

this version also fixes some things
  • music should now loop seamlessly instead of fading out like before (also trimmed the audio files properly so now filesize is around half of what it used to be i think)
  • messages from people outside the courtroom will no longer trigger any courtroom chat events, including music changes / shout sfx and stuff
  • some textures / UVs were corrected

also added a gerson picture on the wall!!!!!! lets go gerson!!

I was playing on this map today and noticed some things I thought I wanted to change

The BGM is now the same for everyone regardless on if you joined before or after a track started playing. (This wasn't the case before, for example, if other people were inside the map playing the "cornered" theme, if you joined afterwards you would have gotten the regular "trial" theme instead until the next time the bgm changed)

  • Gotcha!
  • Got it!
  • Overruled!
  • Yes!
  • Not so fast!
  • Silence!
All of these only play the shout sfx, also added

Witness Testimony: will play the testimony theme (Allegro version) from the first PW:AA game


also uhhhh added some platforms for short characters to stand on so they dont have to stand on the desks ! and changed some textures, and added a recovery heart inside the level too
