EyeSTYLEer is an eyewear-accessory mod for SM64CoopDX by codeflex. It adds a large collection of glasses, visors, masks, novelty frames, and cybernetic optics that follow the character’s animated head movement.

Every accessory can be carefully repositioned and resized for differently proportioned Character Select models. EyeSTYLEer includes built-in placements for dozens of characters, along with tools for creating, saving, restoring, and exporting your own character-specific configurations.

19 eyewear styles

EyeSTYLEer launches with nineteen distinct accessories:

• Aviator Sunglasses — Classic curved aviator lenses with a thin bridge and extended stems.
• Box Framed Glasses — Traditional rectangular prescription-style frames.
• Monocle — A single decorative lens with its characteristic hanging piece.
• Eye Patch — A one-eye covering with a backward-curving segmented strap.
• Robo Eye — A thick, Kano-inspired cybernetic eye and cheek plate with a recolorable optic.
• Raybans — Classic black blocker shades with a familiar casual shape.
• Oakleys — Sporty wraparound eyewear with a curved shield and nose bridge.
• 3D Shades — Cardboard-style red-and-blue 3D glasses with contrasting lenses.
• Shutter Shades — Slatted novelty shades inspired by the famous fashion design.
• Bifocals — Large, thick, round frames with separately rendered lenses.
• Pince-nez — Small stemless glasses designed to rest directly on the nose.
• Heart Frames — Heart-shaped frames with separate visible lenses.
• Star Frames — Star-shaped novelty frames with separate visible lenses.
• Meme Shades — Pixel-stepped black “deal with it” glasses with checker highlights.
• Ski Goggles — Broad protective goggles designed to cover the eye area.
• LaForge Visor — A curved, slatted science-fiction visor inspired by Geordi La Forge’s iconic eyewear.
• Glass Eye — An exaggerated artificial eyeball with a recolorable iris.
• Spec Ops — Night-vision headgear with three forward-projecting optics arranged in a triangle.
• Blindfold — A full cloth-style covering across both eyes.

Complete placement controls

The mod menu provides seven independent placement controls:

• Eye Forward moves the eyewear toward or away from the face.
• Eye Height moves it vertically.
• Eye Side moves it left or right.
• Glasses Pitch rotates it upward or downward.
• Glasses Yaw adjusts its horizontal facing angle.
• Glasses Tilt creates clockwise or counterclockwise slant.
• Glasses Size scales the entire accessory.
These controls make it possible to fit eyewear onto characters with very different head sizes, face shapes, eye positions, and model proportions.

Per-character settings

EyeSTYLEer identifies the active Character Select character and maintains a separate configuration for that character.

Each saved character preset can include:

• Eyewear type
• Lens color
• Forward position
• Height
• Side position
• Pitch
• Yaw
• Tilt
• Size
• Asymmetric-side selection
Changing characters automatically loads the appropriate configuration instead of applying one universal placement to the entire roster.

EyeSTYLEer launches with 67 built-in character presets, providing immediate placements for many commonly used Character Select characters.

Save, restore, and export

The mod menu includes three preset-management tools:

• Save Settings To Character stores the current eyewear configuration for the active character.
• Restore Character Offsets returns that character to EyeSTYLEer’s built-in placement and style.
• Export Character Settings writes the preset collection to eyestyleer-character-settings.txt.
Exported settings can be retrieved outside the game for backup, sharing, or inclusion as future built-in defaults.

Lens and accessory colors

EyeSTYLEer includes a color selector with an Original option that preserves the accessory’s intended materials.

Available color choices include:

• Original
• Red
• Orange
• Yellow
• Green
• Cyan
• Blue
• Purple
• Pink
• White
• Black
• ColorSHIFTer (bound to the EMBLEM slot)
Color behavior changes appropriately by accessory:

• Normal glasses recolor their lenses while retaining their frames.
• Robo Eye recolors its illuminated optic.
• Glass Eye recolors its iris.
• Spec Ops recolors its three optical elements.
• LaForge recolors its visor surface.
• Shutter Shades recolor the complete accessory.
• 3D Shades preserve a visible color difference between the two lenses.
• Bifocals use transparent original lenses rather than opaque black surfaces.
Lens-color selections are saved separately for each character.

ColorSHIFTer integration

When ColorSHIFTer Compatibility is enabled and the ColorSHIFTer color option is selected, EyeSTYLEer follows the character’s live EMBLEM palette slot.

The accessory updates alongside palette changes instead of storing a fixed RGB value. This allows eyewear to coordinate automatically with customized character color schemes.

ColorSHIFTer is optional and is not required to use the standard color palette.

Reversible asymmetric accessories

Accessories designed for one eye can be mirrored to the opposite side using Reverse Asymmetric Eyewear.

This applies to:

• Eye Patch
• Robo Eye
• Glass Eye
The complete accessory is reversed, including its eye placement and associated cheek or strap geometry.

Cross-compatibility

• Character Select: Supported through built-in and user-created character presets.
• ColorSHIFTer: Supported through live EMBLEM-slot color matching.
• ChainSMOKEer: Compatible without a patch. Eyewear and smokeables operate independently and can appear together.
• SIDEKICKer: Eyewear attachment is not available in version 1.0.0. SIDEKICKer does not currently expose a stable animated head-attachment transform for follower models.
No changes to the erSERIES Master Compatibility archive are required for EyeSTYLEer 1.0.0.

Controls

• Press D-Pad Left + Y to equip or remove the selected eyewear.
• Use the EyeSTYLEer mod menu to select a style, recolor it, adjust its placement, and manage character presets.

Idfk y the glasses sit on top of toad and marios forehead and I tried to change the movement and it just flipped the glasses. There also typo in mod menu and some of the code reads like instructions left from a LLM but release might have bugs i can understand . Keep trying and it will be really really cool mod 😎

Hm I'm not sure why you're seeing that. I've tested the final release version on multiple machines and the character offsets seem to work fine on my end. What other mods do you have running that might interfere? At worst, the positional sliders should work even if the base offsets are off/not working.
