This mod makes bosses more difficult. It adds new attacks and adjustments to every boss in the game. Also includes changes to NPCs, such as Toad, Mips, Bob-Omb Buddy, and more. Expect other secrets too...

While this is compatible with rom hacks, you'll have to play in vanilla to experience all of the secret content. Also comes with a /reshuffle command for rom hacks, in case Toad or Tuxie become unreachable.

EDIT: Since people keep reporting this bug, I'm going to say it here: The Bob-Omb Buddy dialog being broken is a CHARACTER SELECT ISSUE. This mod is much older than the latest versions of Character Select, and newer features with Character Select have caused known compatibility issues for a long time. You'll have to either live without Character Select with this mod or deal with the dialog issues for now.

overall pretty fun makes the game quite a bit harder which someone like me needs since base game is far too easy normally. there are 2 major bugs though.

in the 2nd bowser fight when he shifts the platform sometimes the platform itself will just break and will lead to an almost unavoidable death. (happens VERY often and is VERY annoying)

to open the cannon, you need to answer a question...only problem is that the question never shows up so you just have to guess the answer since both the question and answers are just invisible.

I would still recommend even with the bugs since it is mostly playable when it comes to the other things in the mod that work just fine.

(I would assume these glitches will be patched in the future....right?)

Hi, it took me a while but I wanted to respond regarding the quiz questions. That's a bug caused by Character Select. This mod is a bit old and newer Character Select updates have broken the mod for a while now.
As for the Bowser 2 fight, are you playing with friends? That particular fight is notorious for networking issues like that, even in vanilla. Let me know if you ARE playing solo, as I've rarely seen that fight break in that context.

it's a fun experience with friends and other players but i wish you could disable something if there are bugs with it like in the bowser 2 fight where he would become unkillable for some reason while being able to keep everything else

Ooooh, I haven't tried this yet but I will get my friends/family to try this together! I have been wanting to replay SM64 again but Bowser as boss has just been too easy that isn't worth it most of the time haha. But with this I'm excited as a young kid again playing coop together!

2nd bowser need a nerf. 90 % is just clipping through the platform. I would also like this mod to work with romhack like star road like yoshi.

Yeah, this is a pretty good mod, sometimes the bosses are boring with their lack of difficulty, this mod fixes it totally, 5 more stars for you.
