SM64 DS Luigi Voice - Replaces Luigi's Voice with the Luigi voice used in Super Mario 64 DS

A mod that replaces Luigi's voice with the Luigi voice used in Super Mario 64 DS. Higher quality versions are used, when available. When high quality versions aren't available, the original version from SM64 DS are used. In the "all-hq" version of this mod, the voice lines with missing high quality versions are replaced with other voice lines I saw fit.

Mine doesn't work
That's odd, it works perfectly fine for me...
Are you on the latest version? Android version or desktop? Do you have any other mods enabled? If so, try it with only this mod, there could be a mod conflict...

Just like every other mod, you will want to put this mod in the mods folder in your sm64 cood dx installation.
And when i putted this mod to user, luigi doesn't make any sound!

Ohhh, you know, it would've been nice for you to tell me you're using the android version before asking that question.
Anyway the mod works in either mods folder. Make sure to extract the zip file, and put the extracted folder containing the sound and main.lua in the mods folder.
For putting the mod in the user/mods folder, the layout should look a little something like this:

📱 Internal Storage
📂 com.maniscat2.sm64coopdx
┃ ┣ 📂 user
┃ ┃ ┣ 📂 mods
┃ ┃ ┃ ┣ 📂 sm64ds-luigi-voice
┃ ┃ ┃ ┃ ┣ 📂 sound
┃ ┃ ┃ ┃ ┃ ┗ 🔉 various sound files
┃ ┃ ┃ ┃ ┗ 📜 main.lua

Thanks!

But zip or folder?
You download the zip, then extract it, which gives you a folder that you move to that directory.

How do I get it to work on pc? I keep getting script errors, and Luigi is dead silent.
It's working perfectly on my pc... are you on the latest version of sm64coopdx? Or pehaps you have a mod conflict, have you tried running only the mod?

If neither of those works, send the script error that comes up.

Tried getting this to work on my PC on version 1.3.2, getting a completely silent Luigi no matter what I've tried so far (drag and drop import, manual extraction and placing in the mods folder (detected but silent for the first two methods), creating a folder with the mods name and dragging all the files there which only seemed to hinder the game's ability to detect it) if you have any ideas as to what I've done wrong and how I could fix it I would greatly appreciate it as I've wanted to try this mod out to scratch at that 64 DS itch!

It works perfectly fine in my v1.3.2 copy 🤷‍♂️

To install it all you have to do is extract the zip and move it to the game installation's mod folder. Make sure that when you move the folder you're moving the folder with the sound and main.lua folder, not a folder containing that folder.
The tree should look something like this:

💽 sm64coopdx game folder
📂 dynos
📂 lang
📂 palettes
📂 mods
┃ ┣ 📂 sm64ds-luigi-voice
┃ ┃ ┣ 📂 sound
┃ ┃ ┃┗ 🔉 various sound files
┃ ┃ ┗ 📜 main.lua
┃ ┗ 📂 sm64ds-luigi-voice-all-hq (You can have both folders, only the last one, or only this one, whichever way works for you)
┃ ┣ 📂 sound
┃ ┃┗ 🔉 various sound files
┃ ┗ 📜 main.lua
⚙️ sm64coopdx.exe

I have figured out my issue. When downloading the pack this is all that exist within the zip file, a sound folder and the lua. To fix this I had to make a new folder with the name you gave in your tree, in this instance it was "sm64ds-luigi-voice-all-hq", then I had to place the folder and lua inside this new file but kept separately. I don't know why I didnt have the main folder in appear in the zip but the problem is easily fixable thanks to your tree. Thank you for your time, mod seems to work perfectly now!

Ohh I think I understand the situation.
Usually the expected way people extract zip files is by right clicking them and clicking "extract all" which will create a folder with the same name as the zip file that contains all the files from the zip. But the way I take you did it, is just by opening the zip and dragging the files out, which usually works when someone zips a folder (rather than zipping the contents of a folder) but when people zip a folder, that breaks-ish the first method, because then you get a folder inside of a folder, and if you just move the entire thing then it'll make the mod not work.

Millymilo000 updated SM64 DS Luigi Voice with a new update entry:

im stupid and didnt update the zip file in the last update Im also changing the versioning scheme

i feel really stupid, i accendentily uploaded the older zip file in the last update, this update has a newer zip.
also It feels kinda silly updating the minor update in the versioning scheme since then I feel like every update will always be a minor update/patch, so im just gonna always edit the first number

last updates update message:

slightly higher quality audio

These audio clips have been updated to use slightly higher quality version found from Super Mario...
