It absolutely does matter. Using generative ai to vibecode your entire mod doesn't grant you a role that shows that you made a mod, which they clearly didn't. It's like claiming you're an artist when all you do is put a couple of words in a generative ai chatbot.

It also matters because 99% of the time AI code doesn't work.

Obviously it matters; the AI makes mistakes often, and besides, there are people who put a lot of effort into making good mods (MADE BY HUMANS), so for someone to come along and make a mod using ChatGPT is quite unfortunate

well, my entire item spawner mod i made (which got ignored) was created with ai that certainly wasn’t a few words in a chatbot a lot of debugging and trial error with multiple versions being tested each time. I think your quick to jump on the ai slop bandwagon before actually seeing if the mod is any good or not.. just saying. i don’t see how it’s that deep. I always got asked while i was testing “when will this be available for download?” they didn’t care i told them it was ai mod they cared about functionality did the mod work? yes it did.

I'd argue it doesn't matter if it works or not. Using ai to completely vibecode a mod with such little user effort doesn't qualify you for the modder status, because you didn't really make the mod. As I said before, using generative ai to generate an image doesn't make you an artist, so it goes without saying that it also doesn't make you a coder/modder. Honestly, it's probably why your modded application got ignored. But tie main reason it got ignored is because all you did was insert an existing mod into an AI agent and told it to add certain features. I wouldn't consider that modder status worthy either
