How to change the star texture?

I don't know how to change the star texture at all and I want to change it into a galaxy texture can someone help me. I don't want to use it for a rom hack or anything just to play the game

texture_hud_char_star, "textures/segment2/segment2.05C00.rgba16.png"
use the dynos tool to convert it to a tex file
folders: textures/segment2/your texture in here and name it segment2.05C00.rgba16.png
