just wanna know, cause i'm thinking about buying a pi and i figured i could use it to play coodx when i'm not home. which is gonna be most of summer.
also, would it be compatible with mods?

Pi 4 and above should be fine. You just need to install a decent Linux distro and compile coopdx for arm64 (or use box64 to run the prebuilt versions)

would basic rasbian work on a 1gb pi4?
it’s got more than enough power to play the game just fine, but i don’t know about it also keeping together a desktop. i might just be being paranoid, though…
no doubt rasbian lite would fix those issues, but i mainly use windows. the terminal kinda terrifies me enough, having it be the whole os would be a nightmare.
also, would you also be able to just drag mods into the mod folder, or..?

1gb of ram may be too little in order to play coop. Those models are mainly for running tiny services such as web servers and something similar. For gaming it would be very underpowered. Since it would have such little ram, running box64 wouldn't work, and compiling the arm64 build manually would probably crash as well. As for rasbian, it may not have the necessary dependencies in order to compile and run the game, which is why I suggested a more mainline Linux distro such as Ubuntu. But that probably wouldn't run good on 1gb of ram
