Outdated Files for Character Select?

I have no idea what is going on with my game, It was doing fine a day before this happened, but it says that my Chracter Select is out of date even though I am using the most recent version included in the download Files, and have tried downloading it from the mod section but neither work and still claimed I was using old files, and thus I couldn't access any of the characters, and I am not sure if it is how my folder is or coopdx is just reading the files wrong.

I have no idea how it happened, but it looks like it fixed itself somehow since I can load in as the Shadow mod (Which is the current preffered) when I wasn't able to before when the CS was acting like this, and I have no idea how It started or ended.

I am keeping this up just incase anyone has any similar issue, because I genuinely couldn't do anything for the Chara-Select for a long while, and I do not know how it happened in the first place or how it was resolved because I did not do anything to either provoke or cause any issue.

maybe the character select files are outdated? that happened to me all days on v1.1 also theres people that get character select to work correctly, you know, no errors but that mod needs... a hotfix like ophis5944 said.

This is because you merged your files when updating CoopDX instead of uninstalling the old stuff then installing the new stuff, if you check the console it tells you which files need to be removed!!

How do you view the console though?

The default bind for the console is either F1 or ~, you can change this bind is the Extra Binds Settings. Once you're in the console you should see a message saying "Character Select Legacy File Found: filename," this file needs to be deleted in order for Character Select to function properly. Alternatively, you could Delete you installed SM64CoopDX Files before Updating rather than replacing files when Updating
