How do I stop this program from asking for access to my Discord every time I load it with my Discord on? Do I just have to make sure Discord is not running when I play this?

Yes, closing discord will stop that from showing up. Either do that or disable game activity. But I don't see why you care about it reading your discord username and id, which is public knowledge anyways
You say that... But is it really so hard to just click authorize?
There is absolutely no reason to not do it, all it does is give you access to discord invites and allows you to create lua mods and limit specific functions to your user id.
If you don't want it to ask for discord authorization, disable game activity for sm64coopdx, or compile the game manually and disable the discord sdk before you compile in the makefile.
In discord's settings menu, scroll down to game activity and either disable it entirely, or add sm64coopdx as a registered game and press the hide icon
Discord does not have a "Game Activity" menu. It has "Activity Privacy" and "Registered Games."
