Mods not showing up in host screen?

My friend is having trouble enabling mods when hosting a new thing. He has the extracted mod in the mods folder, and it works when he joins me, but when he tries to host it himself it doesn't show up in the mod selection screen. Any fixes?

To use a mod you have downloaded, take the mod out of the zipped folder and drag it to the folder labeled "mods" in the coopdx folder. Once the folder with mod in is in the mod folder, you should be able to use the mod.
