How do accounts work in this game?

If I were to start using a different PC with a different operating system, would I be using a different in-game account? If so, is there anyway I can use my mod site account and link it to the game?

It's just username, no email or account linking, just use your username from your other devices.

Well that's a shame; some gamemodes keep track of stats and have achievements...

Said gamemodes use .sav files to save your game progress. Even if there was an account system. All of your progress would still be local and not shared across devices
