I'm not so sure, I haven't tested it, try to download character select 1.8 (1.9+ is not compatible with sm64 excoop afaik) and maybe it'll work

try reinstalling sm64coopdx and the mod, or deactivate any other mod that may conflict with the Lain Pack

I figured it out I had to reinstall and update character select and it worked the lain mod was fine

im also getting audio errors, i tried reinstalling but when i do that it already has the mod installed somehow, unfortunately i didnt realize this until after i added the lain mod again, so now i have two of the same mod on the mod list and the audio in both of them wont work correctly, i tried reinstalling it again but that didnt get rid of either of them or fix the audio errors, so now im just really confused lol

try to go to AppData\Roaming\sm64ex-coop\mods and see if there's a folder with the lain mod in there, if so, delete it, maybe that will fix it
I haven't worked on my mods nor played sm64coopdx for a while so as the game updates I'm getting really behind with some stuff, I'll try to updat my mods whenever is possible

Your char select is conflicting try and delete it and reinstall it and then download the lain mod after it needs updating
