This is a DynOS pack that replaces Goomba models with these guys. I've currently dubbed them Woonlings since I don't know their actual name. WHAT IS A WOON? Woon is the latest game being worked on by Tour de Pizza. ... That's all I gotta say about that.

not sure the specific problem, so here's what i can suggest: make sure that you have characterselect installed make sure you're not just putting the brian ZIP in the folder, but extracting it into the mods folder

if it helps, i've written a tutorial on my website! it assumes you have experience with blender however

honestly, i don't think there would be much point in having a friend system in coopDX. mainly because what it would do is easily replaceable by any other social platform, like discord, skype (as ancient as it is), etc. there's generally no purpose. it would be different if this was like an MMO...

I edited the description of the mod in CS to say what characters are included in the pack, who voices who, and credit to ZAIDORZ for mixing. That's it. You don't really need to update it if you don't want to, nothing important or game-breaking is addressed or added.
