Excuse me but did you ever figure this out because I'm on the lastest version with the latest ver of char select and I still can't pause. I made account just to get help.

Using a fresh install on android but I have an issue where I can't pause the game, everything is updated, and I'm only using the bowser & bowser Jr mod. Well it looks paused but the menu is there but everything in the background still moving. Didn't know where else to ask.
