A lot of custom character movesets depend on Mario's vanilla moveset, so running Character Movesets alongside something like the Bowser mod may come with quirks like you've mentioned.
There's a few familiar faces here and there, and by "one person and they're not doing much of anything" I assume you mean the 24/7 ones-- in order to have them show up on coopnet's lobby list, they have to have the player hosting to actually be present, so they run several but the player is afk
Assuming you already have your level prepared using Fast64, use the level exporter function to export the level to mods/your mod/levels
If there's no issues with it, coop should generate a .lvl for it and you'll be able to play it ingame
Been a little. I've been wondering about that 24/7 trend you all have likely seen on Coopnet by now, and I was thinking of trying to get my own going up with a rotation of maps I've made as a purely casual, social sorta hangout server thing. Might be neat
Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, and Toad are built into Coop DX. You're probably using Character Select, which doesn't include the other built in characters in its menu. You'll want to go to your player settings, where you can actually change to those 4
