im on directx and i want to know how to update the game since i cannot join servers and it says at the bottom of the screen that a new update is available, as a note, i am very stupid and do not understand much so please tell me in the most simple way possible.

is it ok if i just pull all of the files other than the .exe and mods folder and put the new ones in?

i tried to replace some of the assets in the game folder
i replaced all of them exept the exe file
it didnt work
i replaced all of them
it worked properly after that

The .exe relies on those files and separating them is like separating your brain and your body.
I know how. Step 1: Search online for "coop update". Step 2: Download the version you have, although "coop update" is also available on GitHub, which will make it easier. Step 3: Install it, and that's it! You now have the latest version of your coop dx. Alternatively, you can download SM64 Coop DX and search for releases; you'll find the latest version there. I have a 32-bit PC, and I don't like having to use an older version. I'd like to meet people using the latest version.
