Characters Physics (Explosive Flavour) - Different stats for each vannila character of the vannila cast

By the name of the mod, you probably already know what it does: it adds different physics (or stats, if you prefer) to Luigi, Toad, Wario and Waluigi. It also changes how maximum speed, acceleration and slopes works compared to vanilla.

Let´s start talking about the diferrent PHYSICS/STATS the cast can have:

Maxium Speed:
  • Sets the maximum speed your character can reach through normal acceleration.

Quick changes after release

Changes:
  • Luigi now has medium accel now.
  • Luigi is a bit less slippery.
  • Toad´s accel has been decreased a bit.
  • Wario´s jump height has been increased a bit.
  • Wario´s accel has been increased a bit.
  • Waluigi´s jump height has been decreased a bit.
Fixes:
- Fixed landing from a mid-air knockback sending you more far than normal playing as a light-weight character.

Frist QoL and Decel Fix

The mod has received its first QoL feature: Coyote Time! You probably already know what it does, but if not, it gives you a few extra frames to jump after leaving the ground, making movement feel more forgiving, it also works with slide rollouts, continuous jumps, wing cap triple jump, etc.

I also fixed a bug that caused characters with low deceleration to gain speed while braking or turning around on slippery surfaces.

  • Rebalanced Luigi and Toad stats.
  • Acceleration now also affects Hold Jumps.
  • Deceleration now also affects the Decelerating action.
  • Refined the weight system and knockback calculations.
  • Cleaned up and reorganized the code.
  • Reworked the Mod Menu:
    • Fused all the characters info buttons into a "Show Characters Physics/Stats" button.
    • Added a "Show Physics/Stats Info" button explaining every stat.

  • Maximum Speed and Acceleration now affect the Hold Walking action.
  • Deceleration now actually affects the Decelerating and Hold Decelerating actions.
