How do I replace enemy and object models?

Hey there! I need some help:

I'm trying to make a mod, and in said mod, I want to replace the models of enemies and objects, but I don't know how.
I tried searching on Google and Youtube for tutorials or nuggets of knowledge, but I've been coming up short.

Is there anyone out there who can help?

here is every actor in the game, you can replace models this way using the geo names such as star_geo and many others easily, you just need to make the model and name it that way

I have a model made, but I think I'm missing something (in terms of exporting) :/
Is there any good tutorials I can watch?
