This mod allows players to control the different mobs of SM64 and use their (almost) vanilla moves. Just go near them and press X when you see the prompt to take control of them. Then look at the controls on screen, mess with other players and have FUN!

Don't forget to check the Mod Menu options to adjust things such as the control distance or some HUD settings.

There is also an integration with EmilyEmmi's MarioHunt, so if you use that mod, there will be some changes in order to account the team mechanics (also check the Mod Menu and the MarioHunt specific options).

This is the original mod. If you saw it somewhere else before this post, maybe with a different name, please make sure to report it and use this one.

I was gonna give it a 5 stars, but no because I wish I could get out of enemies without defeating them instantly, and that you can't control some of the enemies. It's fun to see them in some random place. I wanted to experiment on how enemies would work on water or lava for example.
Otherwise I love this mod, but add these two things I mentioned earlier on the next update.

Amazing mod! I love how some select characters even scold you in the chat for controlling them. Such a nice extra sprinkle of personality!

One thing that I noticed through, is that Bowser is weird to control on his second and third battles- a lot of the time he simply doesn't want to turn into the direction you're steering him to. His first battle appears just fine though!

Also I'd suggest a belly slide ability for the baby penguins, since they do it if Mario dives then belly slides near them.

I'm glad you enjoyed and noticed the details. I'll look after the bugs and maybe add the slide for Lil Penguin

Very intresting mod but i wish it was possible to control more enemies. Like thwomps amps etc. also a dream to be able to use with brutal bosses
