Impressive mod, an absolute cornerstone of any mario 64 coop game night. I'm gonna have to take a look at how the items are coded for some of my own game mode aspirations (With proper credit, of course).
I'm gonna also have to look into seeing if I can make custom maps for this. The gamemode format is a nice middle ground for map ports that don't have to be edited for arena while also giving them more purpose than mere hangouts.
Good update overall, but I didn't liked the fact that you can't no longer have Romhack compatibility (Maybe it was an bug or smth) but you could play Kart Battle with any Romhack you had, like for example I could play the Star Road's maps on Kart Battle Modes and it worked pretty well, idk.. It felt like I wasn't just limited to the Vanilla maps
Kart Battle Modes implements iconic modes from multiple Mario Kart games in Super Mario 64. The modes are very fun. I do wish you could specifically choose which items are on and off, but that's really my only complaint. Kart Battle Modes is a very good mod and is underrated. Good job.
Incredible mod! Extremely fun to play. Everything's well polished, every gamemode in this mod is a slam dunk, the power ups add so much, it's all great! Well done Emily!
